Appreciate Each Day

We need to appreciate today and make the most of it. To borrow a phrase, "yesterday is a memory and tomorrow a fantasy. The only day we have is today and it is a gift and that is why we call it the present."

I encourage you to set a daily personal goal.

When you wake up each morning purposely define a small personal goal for the day.

For example: Set specific interactive goals such as,

aim to smile more or at a specific person or perhaps a stranger.

aim to give someone a compliment.

aim to be a really good listener.

It is always interesting to observe others reactions to your goal oriented actions.

Or

Set more personal physical health goals such as,

aim to have better posture.

aim to drink more water.

aim to eat more vegetables.

At the end of the day, review in your mind if you accomplished any of your goals. If you did, you can feel satisfied and if you didn't perhaps this is instructive for you to set more attainable goals for yourself or put more effort into reaching your goals. I always think it is useful to write down your daily goals and nice to be able to see how you are making a difference in your life and others.

You can make it a good day!
